The Darling Downs represents a region, which is comprised of 19 local authorities within an area of 90,000 square kilometers. The major primary industries are grain and cotton farming, grazing and intensive livestock production. Toowoomba and Dalby are the major service centres of the region. The Darling Downs Cotton Growers Association represents growers from Oakey in the east, Condamine to the west, Millmerran in the south to Murgon in the North.
